ERGO Terms of Service
Last updated: June 8, 2026
These Terms govern use of the ERGO marketplace. By creating an account or using ERGO, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. ERGO operates a marketplace connecting customers with independent ERGO Partners.
Marketplace role
ERGO Partners choose when, where, and whether to accept jobs and provide services as independent contractors, not ERGO employees. ERGO provides matching, communications, payment support, safety controls, and dispute administration.
Customer responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate job, timing, location, access, and safety information; maintain a safe environment; have authority to request the work; communicate material changes; and confirm completion or promptly report a genuine dispute.
ERGO Partner responsibilities
ERGO Partners must provide accurate identity and qualification information, accept only work they can perform safely and lawfully, follow agreed instructions, protect customer property and information, communicate delays, provide completion evidence, and maintain any licenses or insurance required for their services.
Prohibited jobs and conduct
ERGO may not be used for violence, threats, harassment, discrimination, sexual services, weapons, illegal drugs, stolen goods, fraud, impersonation, unlawful surveillance, unsafe transport, regulated work without required credentials, or any activity that violates law or creates unreasonable risk. Users may not evade ERGO payments, manipulate reviews, abuse other users, or misuse personal information.
Payments and partner payouts
Customers authorize the displayed job amount and applicable fees through Stripe. Payment must be successfully collected before partner payout can be released. Partner earnings are sent to the partner's eligible Stripe account after completion is confirmed, subject to holds, disputes, refunds, compliance review, and Stripe availability.
Cancellations and refunds
Refund eligibility depends on payment status, work already performed, expenses incurred, user conduct, and the facts of the job. ERGO may issue full or partial refunds, hold or reverse payouts where permitted, or deny a refund when services were properly completed.
Disputes
Users should submit disputes through ERGO support with relevant messages, photos, receipts, and job details. ERGO may review records, contact the parties, pause payout, issue a refund, confirm completion, suspend an account, or take another reasonable action. Users remain responsible for legal rights and obligations that cannot be waived.
Reviews
Reviews must reflect a genuine completed job and may not contain threats, unlawful content, private information, or manipulation. ERGO may remove abusive or fraudulent reviews.
Suspension and removal
ERGO may limit, suspend, or remove accounts for safety risks, fraud, prohibited work, payment abuse, repeated cancellations, harassment, false information, legal requirements, or material violations of these Terms. Users may contact support to appeal.
Service availability and liability
ERGO is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, ERGO does not guarantee that an ERGO Partner will accept a job or that every service will be uninterrupted, and ERGO's liability is limited to the amount paid to ERGO for the job giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
